Ms. Yumiko Hamano and Dr. Surya Raghu were speakers at the National Workshop on IP Management and Technology Commercialization in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during April 16-20, 2018. This workshop was conducted under the auspices of the Malaysian IP Office (MyIPO) in collaboration with WIPO and the Japan Patent Office (JPO). The workshop was attended by technology managers of about 10 Universities and public research institutions and about 50 industry representatives in Malaysia. Other speakers included Dr. Richard Cahoon, Eric Deleglise and Mr. John Fraser. The overwhelming industry participation is a sign of the quality research and emphasis on commercialization by the Universities.
