EIE Workshop in Osaka, Japan

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Japan Patent Office in cooperation with the Osaka Institute of Technology recently organized a "Conference for Presidents/Vice-Presidents and Technology Transfer Officers of Universities and Research Institutions on Creating an Enabling Intellectual Property (IP) Environment for Technology Development, Management and Commercialization"  at the Osaka Institute of Technology, Umeda Campus, Osaka, Japan during December 13-15, 2017.  More details of the program can be seen at: https://lnkd.in/ebp5sVa Top university and government officials from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand attended this conference to exchange thoughts on Technology Transfer, Research Commercialization and Policies for promoting the same. As part of the program, we visited the Osaka University Research Center for Nuclear Physics and the Daifuku Company to understand the potential of University-Industry collaboration and research commercialization. Ms. Yumiko Hamano was part of the organizing team and along with Dr. Surya Raghu were part of the team of speakers and panelists for this program
